Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival of 2013

The lake had 12 to 15 inches of ice, the sky held some strong winds, which turned into healthy gusts for the 12th annual Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival on Saturday January 19, 2013.
Along the North shore of Lake Harriet, the sponsoring neighborhood associations set up accommodations for visitors, with an emphasis on child friendly activities and treats.



The MN Kite Society were one of multiple sponsors.

Kites of all sizes, and shapes were displayed, and skill levels were as varied as the participants.
